Ring in the New Year with these party foil spirals to make your party shiny and festive!
Are you ready for festive decorations to help welcome 2019 and the hope of an exciting new year of crafting? I am!
Whether you have a craft machine or not, you can make these spirals to decorate for your New Year’s Eve party or any festive occasion. You can make them from party foil or decorative paper. I did all my test cuts from decorative paper and made the final version from party foil to decorate our house for our New Year’s Eve party.
Materials and Supplies
- 1 or more sheets of Party Foil or decorative paper
- Pattern from my Resource Library
Note: The Party Foil I bought comes in a 12″ x 48″ roll and the roll is taped closed. If adhesive residue is left behind on the Party Foil from the tape, use rubbing alcohol to remove the residue.
Cutting the Spirals
Craft Machine Cutting
If you have a craft machine, upload the .SVG file to your design application and cut the spirals. The design in the .SVG has four designs of the spirals laid out for using on 12″ x 12″ party foil or decorative paper.
You can ungroup the four designs and make however many of whichever design you choose. One of the designs has a blank tab so you can write on the tabs for other occasions or lay another cut onto those tabs.
Carefully remove the party foil from your cutting mat when cutting is complete.
Hand Cutting
If you do not have a craft machine, you can cut these by hand using the pattern in the PDF that is in my Resource Library. The PDF contains each of the four designs.
Decorate!
Once the spirals are cut, there is nothing else you need to do except to hang them for your party and enjoy the festivities!
You can get the patterns to all my DIY and craft projects in my Resource Library by signing up for my weekly newsletter.

When I download the SVG file for the foil spirals, it isn’t a SVG it is a PDF file. Can you please fix it? Thank you so much
